There has been a lot of talk about curb side recycling in Roxby Downs in recent months.
ëWill we? Wonít we? What would be the best system to use and what would it cost?í
The questions are endless and until they are answered, the Environment Forum is urging residents to utilise the recycling services already available in town.
ìThere are a lot of recycling opportunities that people may not be aware of,î spokesperson for the Environment Forum, Chris Schultz said.
ìWe can recycle a lot of everyday household items right here in Roxby, but it seems a lot of people may not know that.
ìThe Environment Forum would like to encourage all residents to take advantage of the services which are available.
ìEvery little bit helps,î he said.
BSH Waste Solutions in Gosse Street recycles cardboard, paper, all glass containers (preferably rinsed), all five cent deposit drink containers, milk containers, both carton and plastic, and batteries.
ìIf Roxby Downs had curb side recycling a lot more people would recycle,î BSH Waste Solutionsí Brenton Smith said.
ìBecause we are a working town and there are a lot of families where both parents work, it can be difficult for them to make it down to the yard.
ìIf we had curb side recycling weíd probably see around a 30 per cent increase in recycling in Roxby Downs,î he said.
BSH Waste Solutions in Gosse Street is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
